“Repulsed.”

“I find him repulsive.”

“Rude and disgusting.”

“He’s soo repulsive!”

The fall of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis continues, with no sudden stop in sight. And the word that is being used most often to describe the pudding-loving Floridian is — repulsed. In fact, this one neon word is coming from many Florida congress members. What they’re saying is — Ron DeSantis is repulsive.

Reportedly the charmless Governor has thoroughly turned off “dozens” of Republicans who describe him as antisocial, dour, and unable to build relationships with others. Former Representative David Trott reportedly contacted Politico to tell them what a nightmare it was to sit next to DeSantis on the foreign affairs committee. “He never said a single word to me,” Trott said.

In the meantime, Donald Trump and his minions are actively trying to destroy DeSantis mocking him on everything from his pudding fingers to his ongoing fight with Disney, which has made him into the nation’s joke.

In the meantime, DeSantis, while in Japan, was asked about his flailing poll numbers. And quicker than one could say “Ron’s over,” DeSantis reacted. Making a face so bizarre, it’s guaranteed to be the subject of Twitter memes everywhere. Ron said he was not a candidate, and the numbers could change.

The scrunching-up face of DeSantis quickly made it to Twitter, where people appeared — there’s that word again — repulsed by it. “If I were trying to combat a quickly-solidifying image of being a weirdo, I simply would not do that.” Matthew Gertz tweeted.

So yes, Desantis, in the space of a few months, has turned from the golden hope of the GOP to — a punchline — a terrible punchline — a repulsive punchline. See, people? That is how quickly things can change in politics. Ron DeSantis right now could not get elected dog catcher. He’s just too darned repulsive for most people.
